Privacy Policy
Last updated: Oct 1, 2026
Summary
PainiteMP3 has no sign-up, no user accounts and no forms that ask for personal details. This policy explains what information is still handled when you visit.
Information we handle
- Technical request data. When a page is requested, the web server records standard details such as your IP address, browser type, device type and the address of the page. We use them to keep the site running, secure it and block abuse.
- Your cookie preference. A single cookie and a matching entry in your browser storage remember what you chose in the cookie banner for up to twelve months.
- Messages you send us. If you email us, we keep your address and message only to reply and to follow up.
Cookies
PainiteMP3 does not set advertising or profiling cookies. The only cookie we place ourselves is the one that stores your cookie preference. Companies whose content is embedded in a page may set cookies of their own, which is why the banner lets you decline everything that is not essential. You can open the banner again at any time with the cookie settings link in the footer.
Third-party content
Parts of each page are delivered by other companies. When they load, your IP address and browser details are sent to them and their own policies apply:
- Video playback uses YouTube's privacy-enhanced embed (youtube-nocookie.com, operated by Google), and nothing is requested from YouTube until you press play.
- The MP3 converter is a tool supplied by an independent third party.
- Album art is served from Spotify's image servers (i.scdn.co and spotifycdn.com) and video thumbnails from YouTube's (i.ytimg.com).
Legal basis
We run and protect the site on the basis of our legitimate interest in doing so. Any cookie that is not strictly necessary is used only with your consent, which you can withdraw whenever you wish.
Retention
Server logs are kept for as long as security and troubleshooting require. Email correspondence is deleted once your request has been dealt with.
Your rights
Depending on where you live, laws such as the GDPR or the CCPA may let you request access to your data, correction, deletion, restriction or portability, object to certain uses, or withdraw consent. To exercise a right, write to the address at the end of this page. You may also lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority.
Children
The site is not directed to children under 13 and we do not knowingly collect information from them.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. The date at the top shows when it was last revised.
